Nie znam też „Creatures of Cadence” Daniela Menche ani Perlonemu z Keithem Rowe i Charlemagne Palestine.

Kierkegaard pojechał do napromieniowanej strefy wokół Czarnobyla i tam zrealizował swój album.

Np. dusted magazine: "as recording venues, as well as a church in the neighboring village of Krasno. Each of the spaces has particular aural qualities, and 4 Rooms is a more diverse listening experience than one might initially expect. The differences aren’t wholly in the tonality of the rooms’ ambience, but also the rhythms that emerge as the recordings are layered – flutters and rumbles birthed by the waveforms of the reverberating sound. “Swimming Pool” feels strangely underwater, though photo documentation of the room shows only a shallow layer of water in the decaying reservoir. “Gymnasium” initially shimmers in an almost metallic fashion, and “Church” and “Auditorium” sound eerily haunted, the build-up creating an aura of surprisingly actives drones."
Albo earlabs.org: "Whichever way, even a listening uninformed as to the specific historical and topographical coordinates evokes a sensation of a deep empty space which might as well be an inner, sub-atomic space (befitting the nuclear theme of these recordings) - in any case, a space of which the emptiness, being fed back to itself, grows only more allconsuming the more it 'consumes', gradually transforming into a cancerous metaphysical outgrowth of silence doubling over into itself, totally enveloping this emptiness within its 'genetic' structure."

Zavoloka-AGF - Nature never produces the same beat twice

Na boomkacie napisali : "However cut through the concept and you're left with a trickling batch of filigree electronica, that weaves pink-blushed soundscapes, macro electronics and the odd vocal into a thicket of appealing machine music."

Fe-mail - Blixter Toad

Improwizujące, dowcipne, noisowe duo (połowa SPUNKa) Fe-mail: Maja Ratkje i Hilde Sofie Tafjord, wydały świetny podwójny album dla Asphodel.
"A key to the Fe-Mail mystique is how they sucker punch you with their noise; this is not a constant testosterone-torn hole in your ear, it’s a series of perforations, leavened with toy piano, marshy mucking and decoy duck honking, gossaper sustained whispers (check “Ballad"). Fe-mail coddles you with
maternal bliss, but later look out for the infernal hiss. It’s not as harsh as that, there are some really pretty moments (yes including “The Pretty Song"), but mostly to me this has as much a good sense of humor as it does a sharp sense of balance between chaos and order." (fragment recenzji z KFJC).
Na boomkat.com napisali: "More forward thinking than Wolf Eyes, more interesting to listen to than Merzbow and more ear shattering than Prurient, Fe-Mail’s noisey pseudo pop will have you pressing the repeat button rather than angling for the off switch."

"Concerts are always improvised. We don't make plans or decide on forms. It happens naturally, and it's always a great creative challenge and pleasure. The music always has that improvised quality to a degree, even when making music for theater or dance performances which are not improvised. We can relate to large forms or limits in material on occasions like this. In the studio we structure improvisations or compose with bits and pieces of our material. The cd format is something very different from doing a live gig, and has to be considered as that. Some things are pretty composed, others we leave as it was played. The total length of a release is like one large form or composition with parts that need to belong together and make sense. We work together or separately, taking turns on a piece." (cały wywiad tu)

Pytający: "Does the message get political at any point? Do you feel like spokespersons for women in noise music or something?

Maja: Just by being, that’s already beyond being political because there are so few women. So it is a really strong statement that we are doing this and we are not afraid of playing this music live. It’s possible, for example, to make ugly sounds and try to look pretty while you do it.

Hild: It is important to emphasize that the reason to do this music is purely out of the need and want for it. Any political layer that comes out of that is not the reason we are doing this. The reason is the music. This is what we want to do. And to do it as naturally with confidence- and that may inspire."

I dalej, Pytający: "Old photographs show laptops...

Maja: We had been using laptops. But we are such physical performers that it’s not coming from a technical side. It’s coming from our way of playing. The sound actually belongs to the body. So it’s natural for us to play with knobs and faders- and to play with the sound in a more physical way. We had to throw away our laptops at one point because the music became remote from the way it should be made. The reaction time is also essential. So what we do when we perform is total free improvisation. We need reaction time that is so sharp. It’s difficult to get that with computers..."

Fe-Mail - It becomes her (video)

Fe-Mail - The horizotal density of humanisty
Fe-mail - Prety ugly song
